Every New Year we all make resolutions to make our year better, healthier, happier... how about making it Greener as well! This year I resolve to discover new ways to live more eco-friendly and support my local producers of eco-friendly products and organic food. I also resolve to share these ideas and information more with family, friends and fellow bloggers, tweeps and followers! I hope to blog more often and start building my other blog, "Made in My State", all about going local and learning about the products that are made in each of the 50 States to help us all go local! I also plan to start a new website that I am keeping secret for now but it will promise a great, fun service for kids and parents. (I'll keep you posted!)
So now, to get ideas for future blog posts, I am asking my readers to post comments on how you all plan to be GREENER in 2011... I will select as many comments as possible to highlight in future blog posts so give me some interesting comments!! ALSO, just to encourage more posts, I will throw in a GIVEAWAY too!
On January 15 (9pm EST), I will randomly select one post to receive a bundle of Sustainable Earth note pads from Staples and pack of recycled pens and pencils. All you have to do is follow this blog on Google Friend Connect, Networked Blogs or Twitter and leave a comment answering the question above: How do you plan on being Greener in 2011?Please pass this on - tweet, post, share, etc... to get as many comments as possible.
Thanks so much for following me over the past year and to new followers: Welcome - we're glad you joined us!!
Happy GREEN 2011!

We have plenty of improvements to make at our house! :) Plans for 2011 include taking party in weekly Meatless Mondays, improving our composting and recycling, and making some green improvements around the house/garden.

My resolution this year is to unplug all items that are not being used. I walk through my house and unplug 10-20 things every single day. I also will recycle as much as possible and most of us being vegan does not hurt either.
ReplyDeletehappy new year!
I just followed you on Google Friend Connect, Networked Blogs and Twitter.
ReplyDeleteSeveral things I plan on doing to be more green this year is to start composting, building a rain barrel to use for watering outside,& recycling aluminum.

ReplyDeleteHi there... I plan on being greener in 2011 by being more organized with our recycling. I made a little recycling center versus last years carboard boxes.

This year, I'm committed to cutting down on the amount of packaging that goes through my house by 1) buying only necessary items, 2) making my own pasta, bread, and other things I used to buy, 3) avoiding single-serving products, and of course remembering my reusable produce and shopping bags every time.
ReplyDeleteFollowing you on GFC (Jennifer Mo).
My family is going to start raising organic chickens and hens this year for our poultry and eggs!

I've already taken steps to go greener. This year when looking around at after christmas sales I found solar powered christmas lights. That will be a great green product for the holiday next year. Also our town only recycles glass. I have to admit I've been kinda lazy about gathering it up and running it to one of the two bins my town has but I'm going to make an effort to do that.
